  Oranjestad

The capital city of the Dutch island of Aruba, Oranjestad, is also the largest city. Visitors can find a busy nightlife scene with abundant restaurants, clubs, bars, and casinos. There are also tourist attractions here like Fort Zoutman, the oldest building.

Noord

Noord stands for “North” and is at the island’s northern tip. It is both a town and a region in Aruba. Here visitors will find both low-rise and higher-rise hotels, but there are also beaches, lighthouses, and other sights to visit.

  Palm Beach

Palm Beach is a two-mile strip on the northern coast of Aruba known for luxury resorts and nearby snorkeling and water sports. Nearby streets are lined with bars and restaurants, and the Bubali Bird Sanctuary is nearby. Visitors will appreciate the calm waters and beautiful scenery.

King Fred and Princess Diana Restaurant & Bar

What was once Diana’s Pancake Place has transformed into something special, King Fred and Princess Diana Restaurant & Bar. This dual-concept restaurant at the Dutch Windmill in Noord serves Diana’s beloved Dutch pancakes for breakfast and Fred’s home-cooked comfort food for dinner. The breakfast menu features traditional Dutch pancakes in both sweet and savory varieties, along with poffertjes (mini Dutch pancakes), sandwiches, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and excellent coffee. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Grab breakfast Wednesday through Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, or enjoy dinner service Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Café Restaurant Yanti

Oranjestad, $, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options

Located in Oranjestad, just 2 miles from the airport, this family-run restaurant serves authentic Surinamese and Indonesian cuisine. Yanti is a more “off the beaten path” option but definitely not one to miss. The menu features amazing flavors including roti (chicken, lamb), chicken satay with homemade peanut sauce, bami, nasi, saoto soup, gado gado, and much more. The homemade ginger beer and fresh lemonade are local favorites. Keep in mind that Yanti’s now operates daytime hours only, and no longer serves dinner. Credit cards are now accepted.

Jack’s Cafe

Eagle Beach, $, Cafe, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Jack’s Cafe is famous for its locally fresh-squeezed orange juice and their Dutch pea soup. Located inside Super Food Plaza in Noord, this cafeteria-style cafe offers Dutch bakery items, croissants, croquettes, paninis, salads, and daily lunch specials. The coffee is excellent as they serve Puro Coffee with proper espresso drinks. This is a great place to stop for a rest, do some work with the free wifi, or grab a quick bite.

G&G Pizza

Pos Chiquito, $, Pizza

Welcome to the home of the best pizza and best chicken wings on the island of Aruba.  G&G Pizza won the island’s Best Chicken Wings Competition in 2014 with their “Mango AyAyAy” flavor. Their thin-crust New York-style pizzas offer generous toppings, and their wings range from sweet and savory to hot and spicy. Make sure to check out their special nights with 1 Florin wings on Tuesday and Thursday, All-You-Can-Eat Pizza on Wednesday, and All-You-Can-Eat Pasta on Monday.  G&G has a welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel right at home. Indo

Noord, $, Asian, Indonesian, Vegetarian Friendly

Located in Noord, this family-owned restaurant is beloved by locals for its large portions and affordable prices. Indo offers a blend of Surinamese and Indonesian cuisine with tangy flavorful dishes like  chicken satay with homemade peanut sauce, bami goreng, roti (chicken, lamb, goat, and beef curry), nasi, gado gado, and bakabana (fried plantain). Halal options are available for chicken, lamb, and goat dishes. Indo is no longer strictly cash-only but charges fees for card payments (5% credit card fee plus $5 bank fee for Visa). Cash is strongly recommended to avoid extra charges.

Gostoso Restaurant

Oranjestad, $$ - $$$, Caribbean, Seafood, Portuguese

A locally known favorite, Gostoso Restaurant offers a mixture of Portuguese and Aruban dishes to satisfy any appetite. Owner José, a Portuguese native, personally greets guests at every table. They are famous for their daily homemade sangria, both red and white, blended with locally grown fresh fruits. The menu offers a variety of dishes including their signature Portuguese salted cod (Baccalau), beef espetada on traditional hanging skewers, goat stew, octopus, and their creative Creole Sushi Roll made with plantain instead of rice. Don’t miss their house-made hot sauce, which is so popular they sell bottles to take home. Make sure to save room for tres leches or quesillo di coco.

Bistro de Suikertuin

Oranjestad, $$ - $$$, Dutch, International, European

Located on one of the oldest streets in Aruba, in a beautifully restored 100-year-old mansion painted bright yellow, City Garden Bistro De Suikertuin offers guests homemade and healthy meal choices. The stunning setting includes a shaded outdoor patio garden filled with bougainvillea, an indoor bar, and elegant dining rooms. Their signature Keshi Yena (stuffed cheese with meat) is widely considered the best on the island. Other favorites include carpaccio, Grandma’s Sukade, Dutch apple pie, nasi goreng, and freshly made cakes.  For a special experience, book their High Tea service or their High Wine tasting with tapas. Saturday brunch features an à la carte menu with never-ending mimosas.

Kamini’s Kitchen

Sero Colorado, $$ - $$$, Caribbean, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options

Kamini’s Kitchen, located in San Nicolas on the road to Baby Beach, is a colorful Caribbean café offering Trinidadian comfort food specialties in a cozy, friendly environment. Kamini’s makes everyone feel like family. The menu features award-winning curry chicken roti, curry goat, oxtail stew, doubles (a Trinidadian favorite), and their famous whole red snapper. Each dish showcases Kamini’s Trinidadian heritage and secret hot sauce recipes. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, along with a kids’ menu. The restaurant closes early (by 7:30-8:00 PM sharp), so don’t arrive late. Bottled water is charged separately. Cash only for bills under $20.

Asi es mi Peru

Eagle Beach, $$ - $$$, Peruvian, Latin, Seafood

Así es mi Peru showcases all the food that made Peru famous. Located at Paradise Beach Villas near Eagle Beach, this restaurant features genuine Peruvian cooking preparations in an elegant dining room. Owner Roxanna Salinas brings authentic recipes from her homeland. Try mouthwatering dishes like Lomo Saltado, Tiradito (Peruvian-Japanese ceviche), Arroz con Mariscos, and Aji de Gallina. Así es mi Peru also has a Peruvian marketplace in their gazebo where you can purchase Peruvian crafts and trinkets (a portion of proceeds benefits the Aruba Cancer Foundation). Their ceviche bar lets you watch the chef make ceviche from scratch, considered some of the best on the island. A Chef’s Table 5-course experience is available for those seeking an elevated dining journey. Whatever you do, don’t miss the famous Pisco Sours. Asi es mi Peru is open for lunch and dinner every day except Monday.

Aquarius

Aquarius is located inside the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort in the heart of Oranjestad and offers a chill atmosphere with sleek, contemporary design. Indulge in a blend of Caribbean and international dishes, served both à la carte and buffet-style with extensive stations. The restaurant recently expanded its buffet offerings to include a sushi station, carving station, salad bar, “Pure Local” station featuring local farmers’ produce, and an impressive dessert and ice cream station. Their Sunday Seafood Buffet (known as “The Sea is Served”) is a highlight, featuring cold stations, hot stations, and action stations with fresh seafood including lobster. 2 Fools and a Bull

2 Fools and a Bull is not just a high-end restaurant, it’s a culinary experience and has been voted one of the best attractions in Aruba.  The restaurant features an intimate U-shaped bar seating approximately 17 guests per night, so everyone gets the experience they deserve. Guests are guided through a 5½-course surprise tasting menu that changes regularly. The evening includes champagne on arrival and a lemon champagne cocktail between courses. The experience runs approximately 3-4 hours. Come prepared to put away your phone (except for photos, of course), try new things, and enjoy exceptional conversation. With food and service to die for, 2 Fools and a Bull is a must see when visiting Aruba.

LG Smith’s Steak and Chop House

Voted the #1 steakhouse in Aruba, L.G. Smith’s Steak and Chop House is an icon for fine dining. Located at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort with beautiful marina views, this steakhouse offers an unforgettable experience. Steaks are USDA-inspected Certified 1855 Black Angus Beef, with their signature Butcher Table Experience featuring premium tableside-sliced aged beef carved to order. The Cocktail Cart brings a tableside mixologist for signature drinks including their Water, Fire, Smoke, Earth, and Mist cocktails. Their wine program holds over 120 wines by the glass and has been nominated for Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. Senses

Palm Beach, $$$$, French, Dutch, International

Senses is currently relocating and scheduled to reopen at the Legacy Hotel at Eagle Beach in late January 2026. The restaurant is no longer operating at Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort. Senses is an adults-only dining experience that offers intimate fine dining with only 14-16 guests per evening. Executive Chef Kelt Hugo Maat, presents a 5-8 course chef’s table experience with optional wine pairing. The menu changes every two months, showcasing French techniques with Dutch and Norwegian culinary influences, along with sous vide and molecular cooking methods.

Fred Royal Aruba

Oranjestad, $$$$, Gluten Free Options

The name suits it well, as Fred Royal Aruba is a royal experience unlike any other. The evening begins on the rooftop terrace with champagne and bubbles, then guests move downstairs to the U-shaped high-top bar seating up to 19 guests (exclusively ages 18 and older).  Current head chef Ashwin Maduro, creates a playful five-course chef’s menu that changes every 10 weeks. The experience runs 3.5 hours and includes wine pairing options. The chef take great pride in creating unique dishes and encourage guests to try new things. Keep in mind that vegan and vegetarian options are not available, Fred Royal loves its protein.

The Kitchen Table

Eagle Beach, $$$$, Caribbean, Peruvian, Contemporary

Located at Eagle Beach, The Kitchen Table gained its popularity from their elegant and extraordinary multi-course dinners. Chef Urvin Croes, presents an 8-course gastronomic journey that fuses Caribbean and Peruvian cuisine with avant-garde modern techniques. The Kitchen Table now seats a maximum of 12 guests per evening and operates Tuesday through Friday only. The evening begins with prosecco on the terrace watching the sunset, followed by dinner with an intermission featuring lemon sorbet champagne, and concludes with a take-home cupcake. The menu changes monthly, so no experience is ever the same. Children ages 10 and older are welcome.

Barefoot is the perfect beach restaurant for a fantastic dinner with amazing tropical ambiance. Located across from Voco Surfside Aruba near the airport roundabout, you’ll find delicious food, friendly service, the gentle tropical breeze, and the ocean as the background for your meal.  At Barefoot, you’ll dine right on the beach, where tables sit directly in the sand, in shallow water, under a palapa, or on a wooden deck. Try the Shrimp Croquettes or the Dutch Crab Cakes with sweet chili sauce and curry for starters. The Lobster Cappuccino is another standout. Entrée favorites include Caribbean Grouper, Peppered Tuna Steak, and the Romance of the Sea trio.
