In 1989, Bolongo Bay became the first ever resort to offer an all-inclusive package in the US Virgin Islands. Cradled by the coastline in the capital city of Charlotte Amalie, this family owned and managed facility is famous for its 25 premium beachfront rooms opening directly onto a 1,000 ft expanse of glittering white sands. All accommodations are outfitted with charming tropical decor, WiFi, cable, air conditioning, and refrigerators. The two poolside restaurants offer a la carte island fare, as well as a vegan and vegetarian menu. Unlimited drinks are available for all-inclusive guests, including island-inspired cocktails, premium liquor, house wines, and champagne by the glass. Beachside activities include hammock lounging, shipwreck snorkeling, paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, and diving. Poolside activities include mingling at the swim-up bar, bingo, and live entertainment. Bolongo Bay also offers a unique island hopping experience to both St. John and Water Island aboard the resort’s 53 ft catamaran known as Heavenly Days. Overlooking the eastern coast of St. Thomas is the illustrious Sugar Bay Beach Resort & Spa. This 30+ acre property nestled into the mountainside features 294 rooms with panoramic views of the ocean. The complimentary onsite shuttle allows guests to conveniently explore the resort’s extensive services, including nine restaurants and bars. Dining options include local island fare and international cuisines, and all-inclusive guests can indulge in unlimited house brand cocktails, domestic beers, and wine by the glass. The two secluded beaches feature several lounge chairs and water sports such as windsurfing and bumper boats. There is also a private ferry for island-hopping to St. John! Land activities include mini golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and shopping at the Castaways Boutique. There is also a half-day Kids Club, allowing parents the opportunity to take a break from supervising and recharge. This all-inclusive package covers taxes and gratuities.

3. Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino, St. Croix

As of October 2021, the Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino is the first all-inclusive adults-only resort in the USVI, as well as the only all-inclusive package on the island of St. Croix. Each of the 200 ocean-facing guest rooms are fashioned with a private patio or balcony and sleek modern decor. Onsite eateries include a poolside bar and grill, buffet style marketplace, coffee bar and cafe, as well as late-night casino dining. Aside from slot machines, gaming tables, and live entertainment, the resort offers a variety of outdoor activities such as pickleball, shuffleboard, tennis, mini golf, and non-motorized water sports. There are also two freshwater pools and 1,000 ft of luxurious beachfront. Please note that dining options are currently limited due to the pandemic. The full all-inclusive experience is set to reopen on February 1st, 2022.

4. Frenchman’s Reef & Beach Resort, St. Thomas

Frenchman’s Reef and Beach Resort is nestled along the idyllic Morning Star beachfront just a short drive away from Charlotte Amalie harbor. Most of their 400+ rooms offer private balconies with a scenic view and are equipped with 65 inch flat screen TVs, jetted bathtubs, down comforters, and individual climate control. Premium rooms also include an extended living space and private plunge pool. The all-inclusive package requires a minimum stay of four nights, but includes unlimited access to seven restaurants and bars, including a poolside grill, beachfront dining, a coffee and juice bar, and more! Dinner cruises are also available for an additional fee. The pool area overlooks the tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea and features a swim-up bar, jacuzzi, and game area on the deck. Down by the beach, most non-motorized water sports are offered, as well as jet skiing! Tennis courts, volleyball nets, and a golf course are also available. After your long day in the sun, rejuvenate with a facial, massage, steam room and plunge pool at the resort’s full-service spa. Please note that the Frenchman’s Reef & Beach Resort is undergoing a $250 million rebuild. It will reopen in the summer of 2022, with lavish new decor and updated facilities.
