Bavaro
Bavaro is known for its lively beach scene and for being family-friendly. The pristine sand beach and warm, calm waters are great for swimming. Another huge draw to the area is the bar and restaurant scene. In fact, most of the nightlife in Punta Cana is centered around Bavaro, too.
Cap Cana
Cap Cana is well known for its upscale vibe. You’ll find all inclusive resorts, golf courses, restaurants, hotels, and a marina.

Kat’s Corner
For friendly service and a great meal any time of day, head to Kat’s Corner. Serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner classics such as fruit plates, eggs, burgers, wings, and more, you’ll love the variety here. Whatever you do, don’t forget to try their famous Caipirinha, widely regarded as the best on the island, or their signature Cuban Sandwich! Many nights, Kat’s features musical guests and evening entertainment creating a lively atmosphere for dinner.
Cerveceria Punta Cana
Looking for craft beer in Punta Cana? Well then, you’ve got to visit Ceveceria Punta Cana. They offer 12 unique microbrews alongside a rotating menu bursting with delightful menu options that pair perfectly well with their boutique beers. This brew house uses only the best local ingredients to deliver the freshest beer. It’s a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. For fantastic beer, delicious food and a fun atmosphere, Ceveceria Punta Cana is the place to be. Keep in mind that they don’t accept U.S. credit cards, so make sure to bring cash.
Pepito City
This hidden gem is a bit tucked away, but you won’t regret a meal at Pepito City for more of a local feel. The friendly service, great prices and amazing cuisine are hard to beat in Bavaro Beach. Try the empanadas, cachapas, and arepas while sipping on a cold drink. You’ll fall in love with this place in no time. Pepito City is cash only.
El Rincon Del Marisco
For authentic and delicious food in Bavaro, head to El Rincon Del Marisco. Highly recommended by locals, if you’re looking for an authentic Dominican cuisine, you can’t do better than the fresh seafood of El Rincon. Dine on the best seafood Punta Cana has to offer on the shaded patio, and relax with family and friends as you sip on fresh juice or an ice-cold beer. Make sure to try the Mofongo, Empanadas, and Arroz Con Marisco.
Joy Popsicle
At Joy Nutritional Popsicle, visitors will find healthy options that are just as delicious and fresh as you would imagine. For breakfast, they offer delicious smoothies and bowls that will fuel you for the day to come. You’ve got to try one of the nutritional popsicles or take matters into your own hands with the “build your own wrap” option. The ice cream is a favorite among those who love this cafe. They accept credit cards, but not debit cards from the U.S.
Midrange Restaurants
Playa Blanca
This beachfront Punta Cana restaurant and bar, located within the Puntacana Resort & Club, serves up authentic Dominican dishes, fresh, locally caught seafood, grilled meats, and delicious cocktails for breakfast and lunch daily. Keep in mind that non-resort guests pay a $50 access fee to enter the resort. Excellent service, fantastic views and laid back vibes give Playa Blanca a winning combination! Make sure to try the Baja Fish Tacos, Grilled Octopus, or Torre de Mariscos, trust us, you’ll love it!
Herman 311 Bar & Restaurant
Try the fresh seafood, mouthwatering mojitos, and some of the best lobster in Punta Cana at Herman 311 Bar & Restaurant. Enjoy the cozy terrace for some extra ambiance which often features a DJ and other live entertainment events. Make sure to try the mango ceviche to start, and don’t miss the amazingly fresh catch of the day. Sip on a Mojito or Pina Colada for the perfect tropical dining experience.
Youyu Restaurant
This Asian-inspired street food & noodle bar offers the best of Asian Pacific-inspired freshness along with modern Chinese cuisine. At Youyu Restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel, the menu focuses on mouthwatering Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese dishes. You can find freshly made noodles, savory broths, and the best potstickers in Punta Cana. Visitors love favorites like Gyoza, Pork Wontons in chili oil, and the unique Cantonese Crispy Egg Rolls. Onno’s Bavaro is where culinary tradition meets taste in the most delightful way. Dive into their delicious tapas-style bites, hearty entrees, mouth-watering pizzas, authentic Spanish dishes, and much more. With a dash of history and a world of flavors, Onno’s Bavaro is all about great tropical drinks, fantastic food, and epic fun. Take advantage of the flavorful fiesta, Tacos and Tequila every Tuesday. Try the Diablo Shrimp Tacos if you want something with a kick, or the Local Yokel Pizza for some fun local flavors. Sip on a Coconut Mojito or Goombay Breeze while waiting for your food. Onno’s transforms into a disco club after dark, great for nightlife, but expect longer wait times.

Bamboo at Tortuga Bay
Those looking for a truly unique dining experience in Punta Cana need to visit the acclaimed Bamboo Restaurant, tucked away at the exclusive Tortuga Bay Hotel. The blend of locally sourced food with Mediterranean influences offers a variety of innovative fusion dishes in a cozy setting. Try the fresh seafood risotto or the Galician Octopus with Garlic, be prepared to be blown away!
La Yola Restaurant
You will find La Yola Restaurant at the marina within Puntacana Resort & Club, where the restaurant offers stunning views and decadent food. La Palapa by Eden Roc
Located at the beautiful Eden Roc, La Palapa Restaurant offers a relaxed, casual, elegant ambiance. The winning combination of amazing cuisine and the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea will take your breath away. The steak, lobster and pasta dishes are all top notch at La Palapa, and the service can’t be beaten. Trust us, choosing an option from the raw bar and dessert menu are a must! Reservations are required as Eden Roc was recently awarded 2 Michelin Keys.
Montserrat Manor Restaurant
Named after the island of Montserrat in the West Caribbean, home of the studio where Rock & Roll history was made in the ’70s and ’80s, you’ll find Montserrat Manor at the Hard Rock Resort & Casino. Modern American cuisine with the highest quality meat, hand selected and wet aged for 21 days. They also specialize in local fish caught daily and live lobsters. Make sure to try a signature cocktail with your steak tartare, NZ Lamb Rack, or whole Maine lobster.
Brassa Restaurant
Located inside The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club (but open to the public), Brassa Restaurant is a contemporary steakhouse that offers the finest quality cuts and freshest seafood from around the world. At Brassa, they cook their delectable dishes on a Candela charcoal grill to ensure maximum flavor in their dishes. You’ll also find a fantastic selection of wines and an excellent craft cocktail menu that features locally sourced ingredients. Start with the Wagyu Tataki or Beef Bone Marrow, followed by a perfectly grilled Bone In Tomahawk or the delicious Mahi Mahi Filet. Make sure to leave room for desserts such as Grilled Pineapple or Corn Humita! Keep in mind that cash not accepted, non-resort guests will need to purchase a day pass ($65) for access.
